Hello fellow DVC members....I wonder if you can relate to this....we own at Beach Club having joined in 2003.....all the DVC resorts are great, although Saratoga seems to be our least favorite since it is so big....but we stayed in the new Kahani Village in May. We had reservations at the Beach Club from 9/20-9/24 and then will go on the Disney Wonder for the 3 night cruise. When we came home we loved Animal Kingdom so much we changed the reservation to stay at Jambo House. Well....I wondered after we had the reservation about concierge....so called back and 2 nights were available so we took them and then waitlisted the other 2....so my wife says how about finding out if BayLake is available for the 2 nights we don't have the concierge....and guess what....they are. So now we are wondering if we should let things be or take the 2 nights at BayLake....has this happened to you guys also?
Thanks for sharing....and by the way....anyone who has stayed in Animal Kingdom concierge could you tell us how you liked it and what makes it special....

A good problem to have. I'd opt for AKV's.

If you don't mind the moving around, I think that sounds like a fun trip.

We were lucky enough to stay concierge last summer, and splurged on both sunrise and sunset safaris, and sampled the wine and beer offerings in the evening. I liked the smoothie drink too. The lounge was a lovely place to spend some time waiting for our evening flight back to New England.

Oooooo, sounds like you got some great Pixie Dust coming your way in terms of availability. If it were me, however, I would probably just opt for another non-concierge room at AKV instead of moving all the way to BLT for only 2 nights, and try and stay at BLT another time. However, I'm not a fan of changing resorts at all during a vacation, so if that's something you guys do often (or don't mind doing once in a while), you should enjoy your split-stay and your good fortune in getting concierge...hopefully your waitlist will come through and changing resorts won't be an issue at all. :cloud9:

I say go for it. We did something similiar a couple of years ago. We stayed at BWV for 3 nights and Saratoga for 3 nights. We had no problems at all. The resort moved our luggage for us. We went to the park and had a great day. Called the resort to find out our room # and our stuff was up there waiting for us. We just had to stop and get the keys from the front desk. Good luck and enjoy with whatever you decide.

We are gonna just leave things alone. Hopefully the waitlist comes through but if not no big deal...the sunrise and sunset safaris...could you please give me a little detail about them....what time and what is the cost? Was it worth it to you to do it....any info would be most appreciated....
Thanks!
Tom
