Hi guys
Well I got every ADR I wanted when I called on my 90 day mark, however, I did not book anything for dinner our first night, I am calling every day hoping to grab one, I am trying for Mickey's Backyard BBQ or 1900 Park Fare.....does anyone know if I would have any luck as a walk in for 1900 Park Fare or is this one of those places that a walk in would never happen??? We will be there 3 weeks from tomorrow!!!

Thanks

We were supposed to eat at Biegarten one night at Epcot last month. It was raining so hard that we left and missed our reservation. We were staying at the GF. The concierge called different restaurants for us with no luck for any thing open. His suggestion was go as soon as the restaurant opened. We went to the Grand Floridian Cafe at 5 p.m. We were seated within 10 minutes. Now I don't know if this is because it was raining so hard that other people didn't show up for their reservations like us. Try going as soon as the restaurant opens. Also keep trying on line and calling for reservations. I was on line every day and kept trying to get what I wanted and I did.

Good luck.

I have on several occassions showed up to a restaurant right as it opened for either dinner or lunch and been able to get in without an ADR. But you really have to be there before the restaurant opens and be the first person a the podium.
1900 Park Fare has characters so it might a little harder than the Grand Floridian Cafe - which is not necessarily a hot ADR to eat. But I've been able to do it at San Angel Inn, Le Cellier (1 time for lunch and it was a SLOW season), Mama Melrose, Brown Derby, Narcoossees, Biergarten, Nine Dragons, & Marakesh. Now most of these are not super popular restaurants and I've never tried this during Free Dining which does seem to have added a TON of people.

Good Luck!

YOur best bet is to check online alot throughout the day. When i originally booked by phone i got everything i wanted but not all times were great. When online dining came about i was able to get every time that i wanted but it takes alot of work and you have to be persistent. It is still very very early and you have lots of time. Also check back 45 days to the week leading up to your stay. I noticed they would put up blocks of times every now & then and even put blocks of times on 4 restaurants the week before our arrival. I was also lucky enough to get a Chef Mickey for our arrival night at 5:00 ( i was trying for months and was lucky i guess someone had just cancelled). All in all i had gotten the best restaurants, great times and even a 2nd reservation on some of them which i had eaten twice (Ohana & Chef Mickey)

I just wanted to second this advice! Today I was able to get Le Cellier for our party of six in the evening on October 5th! We started planning this trip after the 90 day mark so I had almost despaired of getting Le Cellier! But, today I tried for about the 20th time and it was available! So, don't give up!:dance3:

Why not go over to Downtown Disney and go to the Earl of Sandwich. We went there as as a fall back and found it to be great. It was relazing to sit outside and the food was very good. Personally, I think this is a good first night choice especially if yoy have had a stressful travel day. :hippie:
