Canning Jars...?

Hi y'all,

Is there, by any chance, a place to get canning jars cheap? I looked at 'em at Wal-Mart and they were still more than I wanted to pay. I will if I have to but can anyone suggest another place to check for this kind of thing?

I get mine at a local farming supply place, but they don't beat Wal-Mart by much. I don't know about now but during the summer (at least here) they were really high.

I see them at yard/estate sales all the time, but they're usually not even cheap there. Sometimes late in the season you can find them on sale at your local grocery store.

I used to see canning jars for less at a local hardware store. Weird, I know, but true!

Sometimes if you get lucky someone you know or someone they know will be cleaning them out. We got boxes of them from a friend who moved into this old house and was cleaning out the attic. Sometimes old people who used to can are willing to part with them.
