Where are you finding canned pumpkin? I can't find in any grocery store in a 100 mile radius of where I live. All I see are signs that say "temporarily out of stock." I understand that there was some sort of pumpkin shortage last year.

To the poster who said thier dog was straining...if it doesn't improve with a little pumpkin - maybe your vet should check the anal glands. It sounds "so glamourous"! Our dogs would get infected, and then would need antibiotics in addition to the vet bill. And, then follow-up visits. The pumpkin adds fiber, and helps with the glands. Our dog eats the pumpkin first, before the rest of his food.
