Candy Cane Inn shuttle drop off area?

I'll be staying at CCI in April and it's been awhile since I've been there. I don't recall seeing their shuttle last summer in the ART drop/pick up spot, so I'm wondering where CCI's shuttle goes. I'm sure someone out there knows...TIA.

They can tell you at the desk what color it is and I think they even have a picture to show you. It is the third (farthest away) bus driveway. To get to the gate after drop off you have to walk across and up. Kind of hard to explain but there are CMs all over to ask if you need help or direction. We didn't use the shuttle very much. Maybe once or twice. We prefer the short walk.

I prefer the walk too, but my parents are coming with us and after all the DL walking they might be tired. Trust me after taking ART back and forth from the Doubletree last June I'm all done with shuttle buses.
So they come in the same driveway ( entrance) as the ART buses, they just park farther away from the the DLR entrance? Are they in the area with all the green traffic cone things? Thanks for the help, I'm trying to get a picture in my mind so I know what to expect.

Off topic but is the breakfast @ the cci better then other places?

It's been several years since I've stayed at the CCI but I thought the breakfast was really pretty good. Last stay we were there during the cheerleader championships and it was a bit of a zoo. I think all of DLR is when that is going on!
Otherwise, yes it's good a breakfast. Everything seemed clean and fresh with lots of choices.

I was there last week. Little oven to toast bread and bagels, muffins, pastries, apples, oranges and bananas, yogurt, and I think 3 kinds of cereal, hot chocolate, juice and coffee. Oh yeah, and little oatmeal packets.

If you look at DLR on a Google map, the photo version, you will see three bus circles near the entrance on Harbor. I believe it is the third circle. It isn't in the main walkway where you pass all the busses when you walk. It is up past that a little ways.

As for the breakfast, the best free breakfast is at Embassy Suites- eggs, french toast, potatos, and much more. However, that is too far to walk. CCI has a good breakfast that will get you a good start on the day. I usually have a bagel. The coffee there is terrible though. They must be using the same coffee as DLR I usually mix hot chocolate into the coffee to make it taste better but I think we will bring our own coffee maker next time.

Too bad about the coffee. I call that kind of coffee "homeopathic" coffee. I like my coffee strong and I have only 1 cup. Maybe I'll bring some filters and try make some decent coffee in the room.

When we were there in June the drop off had been moved to out front by Harbor, where you walk in off the street. It was not one of the main three circles that all the ART and Disney Shuttles drop off.

Yes, the top circle on the map. When we were there in Aug and in November, that is where they told us it was. Maybe it moved after June or maybe this was temporary. I don't know. But the front desk at CCI and the CMs should be able to help you find it.

We like strong, dark coffee too and that wasn't it.

We were just there this weekend. The shuttle drop off and pick up is in the Silver Area. It is right along Harbor Drive, the farthest from the entrance.

The hotel was comfortable to stay in. The free parking, free shuttle, free breakfast, free wifi and heated pools were all a bonus. The breakfast is nothing to write home about. But, it's better than waiting in line at Denny's or Mimi's. It got is through until lunch time.

I was very happy with our accomodations! Oh and the coffee in the room tasted just fine to me. At breakfast it was a bit strong, I too added half hot cocoa to make it drinkable.

Thanks everyone. Looks as though the drop off is closer to Harbor, thus a farther walk from the exit. I'll have to tell my parents to up their walking before this trip. I'm sure they will be fine.
