Candlelight Processions Dinner Pkge. Is it worth it?

Thinking of giving this to my in-laws when we go in Dec. The resturant I was thinking was Le Cellier and that is 45.00 pp. If it's worth I don't mind. Just thinking If they did this on their own would it be any different. Any thoughts?

We always found it to be worth it. Our time is money on vacation, and we always at least break even with the pre-paid meals cost-wise, but the big value is for the better seats, and less time waiting in line for the show.

I haven't done Candlelight Processional yet, but looked into it for our upcoming trip and decided that we'll be doing it for my Mom's birthday.

From my research, I found that the theater for Candlelight Processional only holds 1500 people. Now, you don't have to have the dinner package to go, but the folks with the dinner package get the best seats. Plus, the dinner includes an appetizer/soup/salad, entree, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverage for each person. Also, the $45 includes gratuity, but not tax. So, for $45 you get a meal that's worth right about $45 and you get the better seats (it's still recommended that you get to the show early as it is "open seating" with the seats in front held for dinner packages).

Plus with a 5 p.m. show, we decided to do Candlelight Processional and then have dinner rather than go to MVMCP which starts at 7 p.m. and runs till midnight (there's no way any of us can stay up that late and be good for anything the next day, esp. my young kids). The cost is roughly the same, but with Candlelight Processional, we get dinner.

It is absolutely worth it. My husband and I did it last year with reservations at the Rose & Crown. We ordered the most expensive appetizers, meals, and desserts and it was a good deal for what we actually paid. Delicious food too. Also, the parks are pretty crowded at that time of year - people had been lined up for a long time to get into the CP - and so it was nice to be able to bypass that and get seats. We will definitely do it again this year! See you there!

It is definitely worth it!! Especially the closer you get to Christmas, the harder it is to get into CP. Those in the *Package* line will get in and be seated first. Then, if there's any room left, some of the stand-by line comes in. We found it well worth the $$. We had a great meal, stood in the package line with others who had done the package (and were glad they did!), got to our seats without any pushing or shoving, and had a WONDERFUL evening.
