We've done the package twice now. Both times in early Dec/late Nov. We saw the late show both times also. I can't say how crowded it was for the earlier shows but I can say it was a zoo for the late show!!! The stand-by line (without dinner packages) began about an hour and a quarter before the show started. Those with the packages get in 3/4 hr before the show starts and then about 15 minutes before it starts they start letting those in the stand-by line in. I had the package and still stood in line for almost an hour!!! It looked like most of those who were standby got in but most had to have their groups split up since there wern't many groups of empty seats together. So, my advice if you don't want to do a package, which I can understand since my dd at almost 12 doesn't eat enough to warrent the adult price either, would be to go to the early showing. It's not quite as dramatic since it's still light out but you would most likely have a better chance of sitting together without the package.
I'll be there for Phil Donahue on the 30th, with dinner at LeCellier!!! I can't wait. This is such a beautiful way to start my holiday season!!!
