I think it's more about getting any seat then a good seat. Depending on the narrator, the package may be the only way to get a seat.

As siskaren said, depending on the narrator, it might be the only way to get a seat in the theater. While there will be a stand by line every evening, for some very popular narrators such as Neil Patrick Harris or Whoopi Goldberg, almost every seat will be filled with those who had the dining package so far fewer in the stand by line will get in. If you don't get into the theater you can stand in the back along the walkway and see the program or hear it (but not see it) from some of the outdoor tables at the Liberty Inn.
