Candlelight Processional?

I love the Candlelight Processional. It's one of the best things Disney has going!

Unlike many posters, I don't like the dinner packages. It is too expensive, especially for kids in the 10-14 age bracket. They are treated as adults and tend not to eat as much (I have girls, so this may vary).

Don't be afraid without a dinner package. Follow this plan: 1) Don't attend the most popular narrators like NPH. 2) Get in line 15 minutes before the 1st show and plan on waiting until the second show. Sometimes you get lucky and get in the 1st show. Most of the time, you will be near the front for the second show.

Have a great time. The CP is simply wonderful. Bravo to Disney for not leaving Christ out of Christmas! Oh, if you are not religious, that's o.k., you will still enjoy the show.

We are definitely interested in CP this year for our trip and we want to do the dinner package. Can I go on ahead and make a dining reservation for the night I want to see CP and then make it a dinner package once the "official dates" are released, or can that be done anytime?

No you can't convert the ADR to a package you would have to cancel and then book the CP package.

I'd like to jump in here with an additional question. We are doing the CP for the first time this year, and are planning on doing the dining package. I read, but only on 2 websites, that the dining package also includes entrance to an IllumiNations viewing area. Can anyone confirm that this is the case? And if so, how's the view?

Thanks so much!

I was told this back in 2014 but it was not the case. I think this is something that use to happen but no longer does. I was kind of counting on it when we went and I was disappointed. It would have been a nice perk.

hmmm, really? That's a bummer!

Does anybody know when Disney releases the dining packages? My 180 is coming up soon, sure would like to book it then. We'll be traveling a bunch this summer (doing national parks) so will be without internet quite a bit. Would be really nice to at least have an idea of about when to look.

In the past it was somewhere the end of June or beginning of July.
