holy mixed messages batman! so today I called as I read on another board people were booking the dining..the lady at wdt said she had no info except there is a website you can order from, but she didn't know the website addy, just told me to do a search on disney.com but I found nothing...Any tips? I am worried now that we will get the early cast closing as well..:confused3

Disney World has packages available now, but Disneyland usually doesn't start selling them until the first week of November. That's the way it's been for the past 2 years anyway.:)

ahhhhh,thanks! :thumbsup2
sorry I keep asking the same questions,I'm getting confused:rotfl:

what kind of dining can you book for the processional? does it have preferred seating? is it worth it?

Hey ladies,I haven't done it before so I don't really know...but apparently you can book dining at various restaurants and it comes with premium seating for the candlelight processional...soooo that's what I'm trying to get info for, where and when and how:cool1: I guess APer's also have first pick,we were going to upgrade in December when we got there but that will be too late for us,tickets go on sale in nov. I've heard. I've also been told there is a website but wasn't given the address:confused3 So I will keep my ears and eyes open and post when I find out info.:thumbsup2

There were dining packages at restaurants like Storytellers Cafe, Hook's Point, Yamabuki, Granville's (now Steakhouse 55), and Napa Rose. I can't remember if the Vineyard Room was a part of it our not. Last year we ate at Storytellers which was one of the cheaper packages and those seem to go the quickest. You had to pay in advance when you purchased your package online. Last year the annual passholders got the first opportunities to purchase them, but the system crashed in the first 5 minutes that the packages went on sale. It was a giant mess!!!

You got your tickets at the end of your meal, and you needed to be in line at Disneyland about 45 minutes in advance of the show time. I know Club 33 and guests of higher ups had the best seating, but I really couldn't tell if you got any better or worse seating depending on what package you bought. A couple of years ago we got the cheapest package, and sat 3 rows back, in the center, and we were 50 feet away from Dick Van **** who was narrating. I think it all depends on when you get in line, and where they decide to put the line. They seat you, you have no choice of locations. You don't have to buy a package to see the program, but it was worth it for us, since I didn't have to worry whether I was going to be able to see the program or not. The only people who get seats are the packages and Club 33 people.

What is the candle light proccesional? Where is it? When does it happen?
Thank you!:wizard:

I just finished watching the entire 2005 show with Dick Van **** hosting (on the 4th of July... no, no obsession here... nope).
It was beautiful, moving, and very sentimental.
I want to add it to my Disneyland @ Christmas time agenda.

If anyone hears of a FIRM date for it, please post it ASAP.

:thanks:

Ohhhh, I love the candelight processional! Very moving. We were at the 2005 one with Dick Van ****.
Saavy? - may I ask where you got the show? Or is this your own video recording?

On one of the links I posted above, there was a link to the 2005 show. Click on it and it will open your media player. It shows a hand held video from someone at the show who filmed the entire event.

Enjoy! :santa:

We went to the CP last year. It was our first time going during the Christmas season so I wanted to do the show to add something special to our memories. I miraculously made it through the ticket buying. (Hopefully, they will have a better system this year.) We did the package with dinner at Hook's Pointe. The show was good but the meal was the worst I have ever experienced at Disneyland. Our seats were on the front row right in front on Andy Garcia but they were really too close to enjoy the overall experience of the whole stage. I am glad we did the show and would recommend anyone to do it once. But for our family once was enough.
