Candlelight Processional?? Should we do it?

For the last several years, we have gone to WDW in the first or second week of December. I personally find the CP dinner packages to be incredibly overpriced, so we don't do the package. Unless you absolutely have to see one of the very popular narrators, like Whoopi Goldberg or Neil Patrick Harris, and unless you can only go on the weekend, you should have little trouble getting in standby on a weeknight. I usually pick a weeknight when the narrator is less well known, and I don't even stand in line. I just wait til they've let everyone in, and then go in the back and find a seat. I've almost always been successful this way. And even if you can't get in, you can stand in the back, as noted, or you can sit outside by the American Adventure and hear everything very clearly (there isn't that much to see, anyway). If it's very important to you to be guaranteed a seat, then by all means do the dinner package. I'm just saying that it isn't always necessary if you have a little flexibility about what night you attend.

When are you going? I've gone the first week of the month and did standby during the week, getting in line about an hour early. Weekends are more crowded, as well as popular narrators.

Will your 1 year old be able to sit through it?

We will be there from 12/23 to 1/3. I think that my baby will sit still. He loves music and he stay very still when music comes. I take him to the movies all the time and he sit still the whole movie.

We saw the CP this past December for the first time. We really enjoyed it. We weren't on DDP, but did do a dining package.

For those dates, I would definitely book the package as soon as they come out.
