Hope this hasn't already been posted but Disney's webisite is starting to list some of the narrators for the 2012 CPs.

Thank you so much for the information :thumbsup2 I just contacted IPO yesterday and told them the only CP we could go to was December 16th and I see that Olivia Newton John will be narrating which is okay, but oh how I would have loved to have seen NPH...Thanks again :goodvibes

Hmmm, Neil Patrick Harris is narrating while we're there. Maybe I should think about getting the dinner package after all.

Yay! :cool1: The two I want to see will be narrating while I am there, Neil Patrick Harris and Whoopi Goldberg. If only I had more trust that the schedule won't change or someone cancel. :scratchin

Thanks for posting! I was on the lookout for these.

Now to book Oliva Newton John or hope that the following TBA turns out to be Olmos...decisions decisions :confused3:

YAY! Gary Sinise is back for Christmas Eve! He was our Christmas Eve tradition and was mia for the past 2 years. So excited he's back! :woohoo:

Thanks for the heads up pjpoppins! :thumbsup2

If you want to see NPH, then I would do the package. Historically he is one of the hardest to get to see doing standby because the lines get LONG very early.

Damn, I really wanted to see NPH, but we arrive the night of the 29th!!! And not until like 8:45 at night!! So that leaves either Whoopi or whoever is on 12/7!!! I can deal with Whoopi!!!

I have been there for both Whoopi and NPH....both have huge crowds!!! The standby lines were unbelievable!! And those standing on the walkway, behind the theatre??? At least 7 people deep!!! These two narrators are the only times I have seen crowds like that.
If you want to see either one, I would recommend buying the pkg.

Crud! We decided last year that our then 2 year old, now 3, was too young. But I want to see Jodi Benson! I guess we could do it & if he gets antsy, someone could leave with him....

From what I was told by the CM I spoke with last week, the lines just to get into the candlelight processional can be 3 hours long :scared1:. That's without the dinner package IIRC. How long of a wait is there with the dinner package?

My issue is with the wait time just to see it. If it's more than an hour wait time regardless of with or without the dinner package, then I'm thinking of skipping it. My mom and brother are joining my family this trip and they haven't been to Disney in almost 20 years. Spending more than an hour on line takes away from their time in the park and seeing all of the changes since their last visit. We are planning on taking 2 days of our 6 day base ticket for Epcot.

So anybody know when they will release the dates to book the dining package? And now to decide....Jodi Benson or Olivia Newton John? This is our first time going during the holdiays so thus our first CP.

Just reiterating what others have said based on my own experience -- for the bigger stars, or closer to Christmas, you should really book the package if you want to see the processional. It is not money wasted, particularly if seeing the show is important to you.

We just sit and wait because we live close so don't need to do any park visiting. However if you are buy a package be sure you will be finished eating before they have started letting people in or the show starts. Every one we have been to there have been people very upset because they thought they would have seats down front but they arrived so late that they were filling the seats with people waiting in line.

Well, looks like our options are TBA, Jodi Benson, or Olivia Newton John. My mom is thrilled about Olivia Newton John. Unless "TBA" turns out to be Barry Gibb or Gary Puckett, I'm pretty sure who we will be looking to see.

Thanks for posting.

I have 3 choices - Neil, Whoopi or TBA.

We have already seen Neil before.

I dont know if I should book the TBA person? I will also have to check out the MVMCP dates since DH finally gave into going back to see that.

Yes the lines for NPH were really long. We always get the package. Its worth it for us with the extra cost. We are eating a meal anyway etc. Its only dh and I.

Lat year I called on the day the packages were released. I think I had to get 40 redials just to get into the holding que.

Then I had to hold for another 40 minutes. My cell phone battery was dying so I had to go and plug it in and hold, hold, hold on.

I am glad when its done and booked.

Last year we had Tutto and Michael W. Smith.

This year Tutto is off our list since we had a bad meal there last month.

I am thinking maybe Chefs?

Oh and to the poster who was thinking about Jodi Benson. She was wonderful. If you listen to her voice when she narrarates you can hear a little bit of the Little Mermaid. She was really sweet.

We saw NPH last year waited over three hours with rain off and on just to sit in the last row with a tree obstructing my view. Def gonna get the dinner package this year

The wait with a dinner package is as long as you choose to make it. As long as you get in the line prior to the last dinner package guest entering, you will get a seat. It may be a single seat on the far back edges, splitting up your group, but you will get a seat. You just would need to get there prior to the standby guests being admitted at a minimum. Anything before that just helps you to get a better seat. So if you are going solo or as a pair, and don't mind chancing getting split up, then you can probably hop in closer to the end of the wait. But if you want front row dead center, then yeah, its a wait.
