Candlelight processional is on the dining plan!

Actually, I couldn't believe it when I first saw it on allearsnet; especially when it said it was only 1 TS credit. I was thinking about getting the dining plan for when we go next December. NOW, I know I'm getting it; if it's still available.

I agree Biddler. This just doesn't make sense. I love my DDE card and the savings. However, I understood that I wasn't going to be able to use it for the Candlelight...okay. That said, I'm a little frustrated now that there's news that the Candlelight package can be included in the dining plan.

Well, we can hope they change that. Otherwise we have to take our chances. But, if they are doing it for one, they should do it for all. I'll check in a few days.

Mine had already cleared my checking account so I called to get it refunded. It was super easy! One of the first times I call WDW and they actually know what I'm talking about right away! LOL! ;)

I already have my ressie made for Le Cellier with the CP. IF I decide to add on the dining package - haven't yet decided whether to go with AP's, or MYW 10-day passes, in which case we "could" add on the dining- can I just call up a few days ahead of time and switch my Le Cellier ressie over to the dining plan? Can I do it right at the restaurant? Should I do it a month ahead to make sure I get my money back from my credit card? And, have they already charged my credit card, or is it the kind of thing where they just charge you if you are a no-show? (Sorry, I know. I am asking about 2 different situations.)

Thanks for the heads up. I had Coral Reef booked with CP for 12/28 because im on the dining plan and it is two credits at Coral Reef. I fiqured might as well pay out of pocket for this one. Now that the CP can be used with the dining plan, I called today and had my reservation changed to Le Cellier. I was a little worried because Le Cellier is so popular but was able to get it a half hour latter than my old reservation. Had been booked at Coral Reef at 6:30, now changed to Le Cellier at 7:00. Also she said the 125.00 would be credited back right away. Im very happy!

I am so Thrilled!!!! We were going to bag the dinner and now we are not. Have Ressies for the 6:45 show with dinner at Alfredos at 4:30 for 6 people! YAY!!!!

Does anyone know what you get to eat on the CP package? Is it like the Fantasmic ones, where they have a limited selection, or do you get the regular menu?

Why not get on the meal plan yourself then? It really is a great deal and can save you a ton of money! As far as it being unfair I really do not see how??

We are doing a sit down, including Fultons, for 10 of our 16 meals...so only 6 counter service, plus factoring in snacks and paying cash, with the DDE card it is a lot less than the Dining Plan for us. And this is us staying at a Value Resort.

I've read about the dining plan and the dining experience card. We plan to do candelight processional and will be staying at a Disney resort. Let's say we decide to do the dining plan. We need to get it for the whole time we are at the resort --- is that correct?

My DD has moved to Florida so I know she can get the Disney Dining Experience card. Can she use it to pay for all our meals? (We'd reimburse her for our share of course :sunny: . Do you think it would be worth it if this is our only trip to Disney and there are 5 of us? (3 adults and 2 kids over 10)? We're staying for five days.

My friends are coming with us and staying 6 nights. They will do the first night as room only and then the last 5 as a package with the Dining. Since they are checking in late Sunday night and out early Saturday morning, they only need 5 days worth of food. And since they do need full park passes, the Dining Plan is great for them, they will actually save money!

Since we are AP holders, we would have to pay an extra $18 a night for the room X 8 nights plus the one day Park Pass we would have to add for the three of us...another $186! If you aren't AP holders, then get the Dining Plan if you can't a room discount.

And yes, your DD can get the DDE card discount for all of you.

When I called right after reading this post, I had called from my cell phone. The CM said she could rebook by pre-paid CP package and refund my money, but would need my CC number again to hold the new reservation. As I was calling from a cell phone and was not too comfortable giving that information over the phone, she said to just call back from a regular phone and the cm should be able to help me. When I called the next morning, the CM told me that I did not have to rebook, but rather when I went to pick up my CP dinner package information at guest services, they would refund my money at that time.

Which of these is correct? Should I call back and talk to another CM? My biggest concern with trying to have them "rebook" the package is my losing the show time, dinner time & dining location that I currently have.

I would call back.

I didn't want Disney to be holding my money until December (it was $170). It's already been credited back. :flower:

Julia,

Were you able to keep everything that you booked? Same dining location, time & show time?

This is a solo trip, so to hold $41 for me is no big deal, I just wanted to make sure the info I got was accurate.

It was no problem. The CM I got seem very, very knowledgable. He was able to credit the meal without impacting the actual dinner reservation. In fact, the way he described it, it was almost like two reservations.

The credit is already on my account.

Can we share a meal using DDE and still get the CP package?

You can't share a CP package unless only 1 person goes to the show. Each person has to have their own package badge to get into the show.

Has anyone been able to use the DDE for the CP package? DDE and the Dining Plan are 2 different things.
