We will be returning to WDW Dec 1 - 8. It will be our first pre-Christmas trip to WDW to take in all the special shows and decorations. I know our ADR window begins Sept. 2. I'm trying to learn about the special meal reservations that can be made in Epcot that will provide reserved seating for one of the candlelight processional shows. Is it true that this information only comes out about 60 days ahead of time? I'm guessing I'll just make a few Epcot lunch or dinner reservations when my window opens on Sept. 2 and then refine them if necessary when the 2009 definative schedule and prices become available.

For anyone who has experience with this please tell me how it works and what to expect. I don't know much, only that it is something we should do.

Also, does Illuminations still happen every night at Epcot in December? Would it be presented between showtimes of the candlelight processional? Which restaurants have preferred seating for Illuminations?

Last year they released the CP dinner pkgs June 23rd..You had choices of restaurant "tiers" to pick from. You can check out www.allears.net for more info. The rule was you MUST dine before your show .

Thanks, I never realized how much information was on allears before. Lots of my questions were answered there.

:)

We went last year for the first time. Make sure you get to your restaurant early so that you are seated on your reservation time (we were late and waited). :( You'll receive your pass for the processional @ the end of your meal, and should plan on standing in line for the show once you leave the restaurant for good seats. Last year the line stretched from the American pavilion to Japan (where we had eaten @ Teppan Edo). IIRC we were in line for ~45 minutes before the show started. Perhaps have one person stand in line while other hit a ride, etc. We didn't have bad seats, but we were outside the pavilion itself and it was a freakishly cold night on 12/8/08 (lows in the 30s). Neil Patrick Harris joked that Di$ney had built another land in the WS called Antartica. :) He was very good, BTW.

Candlelight is very special, don't miss it. We ate at Canada steakhouse and then went. One of highlights of trip. you will have to give credit card to hold, but can use 1 dining credit if on dining plan.

I really want to book the CP Package and try Le Cellier, but it just kills me to pay $54 dollars for a dinner for my 10 year old. What do others with "Disney Adults" do in this situation? Do you grit your teeth and pay it or do you just not book a package? Any feedback on the line/wait for CP on a Friday night, Dec. 4th? Thanks!
