Candlelight Processional - Do you have to get "in" to enjoy it?

It was nice not that many years ago when there was not a premium charged for the dining package. You booked the dining for the preferred seating, Disney booked more seats. Then they got hungry and added the upcharge.

We went for the first time last year and just loved it. We had Blair Underwood and we thought he was wonderful, but of course, we have nobody to compare him to. For us, it was worth the extra money to have good seats and to watch it. It was also nice to have the reserved section for Illuminations. Along with our meal at Chefs de France, we had an absolutely wonderful last night at WDW. :santa:

We didn't feel like standing in long lines and just walked up right before the show on sunday night and watched/listened to it from the area behind the seating.

It was still enjoyable to us and not bad at all.

My husband wasn't interested in going so it was just going to be the kids and I. Neither of them were too excited about it. With the amount it cost, it just didn't make sense. If there's a short-ish standby line I'll hop in it. Or if we are in the World Showcase and it's going on, I will stand in the area and listen a bit. I am not too worried about it either way:).
