Candlelight Processional Dinner - Watching & Waiting

It's so funny that CM's have said anything from later this week, to next week, to the end of August. I guess I will get very experienced in calling everydaypopcorn::

Does anyone know when they usually start taking reservations for the Candle Light processional dinning package? It is now within the 180 days but they still aren't taking reservations yet. Just like to get all of the dinning planning done and that is the last piece we need to setup. Thanks for any help or advice... :goodvibes

I just called last night and got the "try the end of June" response.

Just got off the phone with special dining and was told that they will release CP Dinner Packages in August. Hopes this will help those of you out there looking.

The wait continues...But I won't stop checking nearly daily since so many CMs have given different information regarding the CP packages release this year.

Same here. I checked today and was told they were blocked off but not released yet and that it would be any day now. Gonna keep checking :)

The CP pkgs have never been announced this early. The narrator list is usually published during the summer, usually August, and then late August/early Sept they open for actual bookings. This has been the case when you could book 90 days out, as well as 180 days out..it made no difference.
I wouldn't expect to be able to book until mid to late August. But, nothing is etched in stone with Disney.

Last year, the CP package was 2 credits, assume it will be the same this year. They have not announced the package information yet for 2010.

yup, 2 credits last year. IMHO, even at 2 credits it's worth it if you're traveling during a busy time. We go during xmas week and having a reserved spot for CP and Illuminations were a real time saver.

Thanks, we are going Christmas week and we did it last year, it was wonderful. We werent on the dining plan last year so I wasnt sure.

what restaurants are usually included in the CP? We will be there on the last night and everyone wants to go.

Here is a link to the 2009 info:

Previous posters are correct in that all CP packages in 2009 cost two TS credits on the dining plan, regardless of the tier of restaurant or whether the meal served was dinner or lunch (You're required to eat prior to the show, so if you choose the earliest show, your meal will possibly be lunch)

Is this really worth seeing?? How are you seated for the show? Is it first come gets the best seats? I mean for those who get the meal. Something else I might have to fit in the schedule:banana:

The show is about 35-40 mins long. I like to see it every year...I love the narration and the music. There are basically two lines...a standby line and the dining pkg line. Even those who have purchased the pkg still have a longish wait in line (I'm usually in line for 30 mins). About 15 mins before the show starts, those with the pkg are allowed into the theater to find seats. You are pretty much directed to specific areas. Then about 10 mins later, or about 5-8 mins before showtime, those in the standby line are allowed in..if there are still seats availabe.
So, yes..those with the pkg do get to choose their seats, leaving the 'leftovers' for those in the standby line.
