Candlelight Processional Dinner - Watching & Waiting

I have been calling as well and on Friday, I was told that they will begin accepting reservations on July 29. Just to confirm, I called back later that day (Fri) and was told by a different person that they still didn't have a date...not sure what to believe. :confused3

Well...could be tomorrow...could be Thursday...could be anytime this week...could be August...:goodvibes Just trying to be patient and keep checking this thread!

Thanx so much to all of you who keep calling and posting your news here! :thumbsup2

I have picked my two table service that I'd need to cancel to use 2 dining credits each for this but wondering if I just want to pay for it and keep the credits? Since we've never been during holidays if I can get Le Cellier or Garden Grill for 44.99 a piece a pay is that a good deal? Just weighing my options ... assuming we don't "have" to use the dining credits just bec. we are on the plan?

No you do not need to use the plan, you can use the plan but pay out of pocket for some meals. Most of the time two credits for one meal is not a good deal. We plan to hit several signature restaurants so when we go in December we will not be using the dining plan.

this thread has now got me wondering whether I should also pay OOP for Either Le Cellier or Garden Grill, rather than using DDP credits.

Can anyone tell me what you get meal wise for the CP package - does the price include a starter, entree, dessert and beverage? And can any substitutions be made? (I would like the filet at Le Cellier but with the mash potatoes rather than the risotto!!;)).

Many thanks for any info!!:thumbsup2

Last year we were not on a dining plan for our December visit so all of our meals were out of pocket. The CPP includes an appetizer, entree, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage. Lobster entrees were excluded. I don't believe that there were any other restrictions for choices so I don't expect there would be a problem requesting mash potatoes in place of risotto.

Motsmom - Garden Grill and Le Cellier are two different price tiers for the CPP. Garden Grill is Tier 1 and last year the price was $44.99/adult dinner. They are not open for lunch. Le Cellier is Tier 3. The lunch cost last year was $51.99 and the dinner cost was $59.99. Price does not include gratuity or tax.

What Tier does Flying Fish Cafe fall under?

waiting with bated breath along with the rest of you - want Italy or Canada for party of 5 for Thurs 12/9/. Anyone think both Tutto and Via Napoli will be on there for CP?

What # do I call once we get the high sign?

I look here first thing every morning when I get out of bed....

I was just told to call back in the middle of the day today and they might have a date? She told me to try back every day...and I will ;)

Nothing yet... The CM said: "We should have some information by the end of this week".

that's funny!:rotfl:

The CM I just talked to said they have no idea!

Who's leading that ship?!:rolleyes1

It's going to be a week of early mornings!:upsidedow

I was told to keep checking. She said that I should even try later today, but that they don't know when they will be released.

I think the CM I just spoke to was still asleep. The conversation went like this:

Me: Good morning, I was calling to see if we were able to book the Candlelight Processional packages yet?

CM: No, ma'am.

Me: Do you have any idea when we might be able to book them?

CM: No ma'am.

Me: OK, thank you, I guess I'll have to keep checking back!

CM: Thank you for calling Disney Dining. Phone hangs up.

Possibly the shortest call I have ever had with Disney! At least being in the UK means I'm calling at lunchtime and not having to get up early :scared1:

I have to laugh cause this morning when I called you could hear the agents around her saying " They have not been released.. I'm sorry but we do not have an exact date"
and then one was like" this is the third call in a row I've gotten asking about Candlelight" I just had to think of all you guys.. I can only imagaine what it is going to be like the day that it opens.. CRAZY.. LMAO..

I was told that she didn't have any information at all.. No end of the week or anything this time.
