Candlelight Processional Dinner - Watching & Waiting

Me: "Good morning, I was calling to see if you were open for Candlelight Processional Packages yet"

Lisa: "Unfortunately sir, no we are not. I have no further information at this time."

Not yet. I just spoke with Pauline at Disney Dining. She said they are now being told "into August." In response to my question "will they have something posted on the main Disney site before taking reservations?" she said "Oh, I hope so, but you never know."

dang it. i got my hopes up, too. i guess i called just before 7 and the phones weren't rolled to DD just yet and the agent i got said, 'i believe they are booking that today.' well, they aren't. and i called back again to DDR just to be sure and still no info on when it will open up. i just said 'i'll talk to u tomorrow' LOL

i'm so anxious to get this done as it is the LAST piece of our Dec trip 'puzzle'

oh well. tty'all tomorrow morning! :)

When I called this morning, I asked when the packages are finally released will it be at 7am, or anytime during the day? She said it can be anytime during the day :scared1:

I just had a thought.

For CP, I was told when I called that there will only be a couple of restaurants NOT available for the package (Akershus, Bistro de Paris). The new Italy restarant, Via Napoli, is set to open for reservations Aug 5. Do you think that they will hold CP reservations for ALL locations until that restaurant is available to book as well?

Again, just a thought...

If Via Napoli is going to participate in the package, that would make sense, but of course Disney doesn't always do what makes the most sense to us. :)

Also, I wonder if the new TS in Mexico (La Hacienda?) will participate in the package once it opens?

I hadn't thought about that one.. HUMMMMMM Maybe, but I know some people that are going to call to get into that one so I don't know why they would have the phones THAT busy with people trying to book CP and the new place.. I keep getting told the last week of July and if I hear it one more time I going to scream.

He WAS Greg! He was really outstanding and sympathetic. He did mention that some folks had been yelling at him thought...felt sorry for him. I waited to do the phone survey with him because I hope he gets rewarded for his Disney spirit.

 I don't know why anyone should scream at anyone especially a great CM like him.. I might be a little disappointed about CP not being out or being able to get a certain reservation but that is my fault for thinking about taking a Disney trip and not going ahead and booking all my reservations at the 180 day mark and then cxled if we ended up not going for those dates.. He was one of the best CM's that i have talked to in a long time. I had one this morning that when I asked about CP she said they were not out yet and then right into have a magical day :confused3 I always check to see about the reservation that I am wanting anyways. CP release day just means that there is a higher chance that I might get what I am looking for. So if I ask a question I don't want to be brushed off because the first answer to my question is no.. Anywho, sorry for the rant but I also did the survey for him.. He was awsome and such a great CM.. I hope that everyone has a chance to talk to him cause he really does spread disney magic..

Well, the CM I got today isn't expecting the CP window to open until August. Her reason being: "They usually pull us in a few days in advance to tell us what's coming up and they haven't said a word, at this point, about CP. Plus, FW was just opened up recently and they typically don't release events too closely together, for the sake of the CM's handling the calls." She advised me to keep an eye on waltdisneyworld.com because they'll post the CP info on there in advance. (Really? Sooner than the DIS does? I dunno about that! ;) ) I told today's CM that yesterday's CM told me to call back every AM this week, because SHE was told "last week of July" for the CP packages. Today's CM maintained that she's worked there a lot of years and has a lot of experience with this.

Lots of different answers out there, so I'm not sure who to believe. :confused3 I must admit, I'm starting to feel a bit sheepish and apologetic when I call in with the same annoying CP question that they're being bombarded with every day. I feel a bit sorry for the CM's... but not quite sorry enough to stop calling. :rolleyes1;)

OH I forgot to ask this morning... I was going to ask if they have Over time anytime soon. I use to work in the call center and I know that for dates that things are being released they have required overtime. If a CM would confirm what day the OT is for we might be able to figure out what day it is comeing out.. HUmmmmmmm....

By the time all this CP stuff is over and done with, I'm pretty confident that we ALL will have had a chance to talk to CM Greg... and Lisa... and Pauline... and....
:rotfl::rotfl:

I haven't been calling, just waiting for it to be mentioned here. I figure when I DO get to call, I'll be on hold for 45 min anyway. . .

Could they at least throw us a bone and tell us who the narrators are going to be? :confused3

It seems to be that each CM has a different answer. When I called yesterday the person told me to even try later in the day; that the packages can be released at any time. Today I was told that they wouldn't be out until August, but it looks like others were told it could be any day.

I called this morning and was told that it was supposed to be by the end of the month... so any time.:confused3
