Does anyone remember when the pkgs came out last year? I am wondering how they will work it with the new 180 ADR rule? Anyone know if DDE can be used for that pkg? Just my "planning mind" working overtime!

I called dining and asked them and they were clueless. I figure that they may know something in May. The packages last year were released in August before the 90 day mark so now with the new 180 days, I would think they would come out before that which would be mid-May or around there.

The DDE could not be applied to the packages last year. It was our first year with DDE, so I don't know if they applied the discount in previous years.

The packages were released in late August, but the list of narrators wasn't set in stone if I remember correctly. So, I wonder how that will impact this years CP...I know a lot of people like to wait to see who the narrator is before booking. And I'm sure that it's not easy to tie down the 'professionals' to committing to a certain set of performance dates...if they couldn't get the narrators to make a 'set in stone' committment in August I can't imagine it will work at the 180 day mark. We may just have to take the luck of the draw and book without knowing who we will be seeing up there. I mean...Phil Donahue was less than ispiring last year, but I loved Heather Headley the year before. David Ogden Stiers the first year was better than I thought....obviously I'll be happy with just about anyone, but please not Phil D. again!!!

Just subscribing because I was wondering the same thing.

Just as a heads up, you do not need to post to a thread to subscribe on it. Simply click thread tools at the top and subscribing is an option there. :)

The Candlelight processional packages were released on Aug 13 last year. I know this because when I went to book at 2:00 that afternoon, they were almost totally booked for LeCellier the week of Nov 28-Dec 2!

That's good to know! I'll keep on top of this then. I talked with someone this week in dining and she thought it would be late April/May when these would be released based on previous years and the old 90 day window. She was only guessing of course and encouraged me to call back regurlarly.

If the packages are not released until August this will change things. It was hard to get dinner dining if you did not have a CP package. If they allow regular booking first I would think it would have to be limited in order to sell the packages.

That's why the CM thought the CP packages would be released before the 180 day window for ADRs which would be May for late Nov and Dec.

When I called Disney dining they did not know how this would be handled. I can make all my ADRs on May 29th. If the pkgs haven't been announced I think I will just book Le Cellier for the night I plan to do CP and hope to change it to a pKg when they are announced. We have seen it 3x, saw Mary Hart, Angela Bassett and Jeremy? (voice of Beast). We enjoyed them all but probably Angela Bassett the best. Can't wait!

They always hold tables for the packages. So they could release the non-package tables at 180 days and hold the package tables until August. From what I understand, you can't make an ADR and then later turn it into the package.

I ask about this when I called WDW to make payments, ask about ap rates, etc and today the CM I talked to said they discussed this in their team meeting and more information would be availalbe the end of May. He indicated that they would be released before the 180 day mark for the CP packages since they no longer have the 90 day ADRs. Who knows though. Someone tomorrow might give a different answer. So, hopefully like the MNSSHP, the dates will be released and we'll have a day or two notice to when we can make these.
