Candlelight Processional Dining Package...Worth it?

My family's ADR date is quickly approaching. I know I can't make the reservations for the dining package yet but want to make plans regardless. My question is it worth it?

We are going to be a group of 7 adults, 1 2 yr old, and an infant. We are on the dining plan so we are debating if we should do the candlelight processional package or California Grill. I am not at all concerned about my 2 yr at California Grill...She eats out alot and is typically well behaved (However, I will remove her from dinner is she gets cranky/disruptive regardless of the restaurant.). Part of me feels the Candlelight Processional Package is not worth the two credits but never having gone at Christmas I don't know for sure. Also our trip is the last week in November.

Thanks for any advice!

Unless I just had credits to burn, I'd probably opt for a breakfast CP package and pay OOP. I'm not sure any of the restaurants that do the package are worth 2 TS credits, especially if CG is the other option.

However, the "worth it" also needs to include the time you will have to spend waiting in line if you absolutely want to see CP. Depending on the narrator, you could spend a few hours waiting in line without a package. With the package, you will still need to be in the package line at least 45 min before the show if all 9 of you want to sit together, and maybe earlier, depending on who you end up with for a narrator.

If you want to make sure you see the CP and minimize the wait time to do so, I suggest getting the package. The CP is one of my favorite things and we go every year.

We went last year when Neil Patrick Harris was narrating and without the dining package I'm not sure we would have gotten seats. We had the CP dining package and lined up early- had front and center seats! So it was worth it to us!

If you would like to minimize the wait time and make sure you can have a party of 9 sit together during the CP, I'd plan to do the package.

Depends on who the narrator is and if you want to be up front. That’s not an especially busy week. There’s a thread from last year where people posted how long they waited and what the result was.
