Candlelight Processional and Dining Plan

I was just told that I can't use the dining plan for the Candlelight Processional reserved dining. We have in the past, but is this a new policy?

I don't know who told you that, because it's not true. You can use the DDP for the Candlelight Processional Package and it counts for one credit. We are on the DDP and have a CP reservation at Garden Grill on December 15 at 5:15 p.m. for the 8:00 performance.

Ok...I got the "no" from two different CM's. One was DVC when I just booked at AKV and the other was from the CRO person as I modified my Pop reservation.

You just need to call back and talk to someone on the dining line and they should give you no trouble booking it.

We're planning on using our TS credit on DP for the CP too. When I booked the CP, I told them my plan, they said it doesn't matter how I paid for it, they needed the CC to reserve the slot. If we didn't show up, my CC gets charged. If we show up, we pay for our meal at the time, either by CC or DP credit. Not sure if this is accurate though.

That isn't correct. You CAN use the dining plan to pay for the Candlelight Processional package. They are all 1 credit restaurants so it costs 1 credit. They need the credit card to hold the reservation no matter how you plan to pay. What will happen with that is: if you don't cancel and you don't show up for the meal, you will be charged a per-person no show fee. I am not sure what the fee is.

If you are on the basic dining plan, the appetizer isn't included with the package.

Yep, you absolutely can book the CP with DDP. We have ADRs for Teppan Edo at 5:15 on December 19th!!

You can definitely use the DDP with the CP. Maybe the CMs meant that there aren't any available packages?

I just got a reply from Member Service and yes, we can use a table service credit for the CP package. I'm glad I checked it out. You are right about no available packages for the night, Momto3Girls&Max, but I already am on a reservation.
