Candlelight Processional 2024

1) Do we think they are going to expand the list of restaurants offering packages this year?

2) Is it ever possible to have a dinner seating *after* the show for which you have the package? E.g. I have a 7 p.m. Biergarten reservation but can line up for the 5:15 Candlelight Processional. I feel like probably not, but a girl can dream.

I don’t know about the first question but I think the second is a hard no, because they want you to pay at the restaurant before you get your CP vouchers. In theory they could change it, but it would require prepaying for your meal, I think.

Hi dspads , did you mean to reply to my question about doing MVMCP over in the Official 2024 MVMCP thread? Just checking as I stumbled upon this comment and it looked like an answer to my question, except we're in the Candlelight Processional thread.

YES! That’s so weird! I don’t know how I managed to do that. I noticed later my comment wasn’t there and I figured I forgot to submit. I am watching both threads, trying to decide if I am going to add an EPCOT day to see CP.

Last year CP booking opened on Oct 17, there was an announcement a week before this. So I too am very surprised we haven’t got any details, it is difficult with booking reservations 60 +10 days in advance. I am so hoping today will be the announcement so bring on the morning announcements! We need good news, not more closure notices (just saw BTMRR closing while we are there, sigh).

It’s anticipated that the announcement is possibly delayed due to the phone CMs being extremely busy with Milton last week. Hopefully soon!

From my experience, they hold a block of reservations at the restaurants. In the past, we have had a harder time making dining reservations with the holds. We are going over thanksgiving and we didn’t have issues making reservations at Akershus, Via Napoli and San Angel Inn after Black Friday, so I would assume those restaurants would not be offered but it is anyone’s guess.

Could I have found a hint that Candlelight Processional announcements will be coming this week? Today Disney Parks Blog posted about some new holiday offerings at Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. The very last line of the post reads “Stay tuned for even more reasons to visit during the holidays all week!” Intriguing!

Last year they announced the lineup on Thursday October 5, and reservations opened 12 days later on Tuesday October 17. So maybe this Thursday we'll finally get some information, and be able to book packages by Tuesday October 29 - just a month before the event starts?

I don’t think there will be as long of a gap between announcement and booking this year, but I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

When I put candlelight in search and click on dining it says check back later but there is a map of Epcot showing the restaurants but they appear same as last year so could very well be last year’s map. Of course they are the ones we don’t really want to eat at anyway for the most part.

I think they haven't announced yet because they just dropped the info about the LLPremier Pass. Maybe we will see an announcement next week?

I don’t know, but this is almost becoming frustrating at this point. I get the whole delay last week because of the hurricane, but now it’s Wednesday, and Disney has made several other big announcements and everyone is still waiting for holiday related announcements like CP, and it’s just not coming! I generally enjoy the planning part of a Disney Vaca, but I feel like I have to more frequently than I would like check my phone/MDE/DIS etc as I’m afraid I’m going to miss something and miss an opportunity to say modify ADRs, or book an experience that might sell out.

Same! We're at 41 days, and CP is top priority to me. I feel like I haven't been able to plan ANYTHING in terms of parks/meals/etc yet. Argh!
