Candlelight Processional 2008 Info Thread

If I cannot call first thing tomorrow at 7:00, what are my chances with getting a reservation for the 6:45 show at Gardent Grill or San Angel??

Thanks for the info! I have an ADR in place for Dec 11th at 4:50 at the Coral Reef but would like the dinner package. I hope to get one between 5 and 5:30 but was taking no chances when I called on my 180 day mark. Do you really need the dinner package to get a decent seat or is is okay to wing it? I have only scheduled one evening for the CP, have never seen it and would like to get a nice set.

Just curious to see who is planning on going on Dec 5th? We are hopefully going to 6:45 show after having early diner at Le Cellier. Anyone else planning on that time or that restaurant??

I wish us all luck in getting our ressies pixiedust:

I need your help do you need a adr in place or is that what you call tomorrow morning for thanks in advance? and what the dates We can book maybe i can lecell steakhouse for dinner though this booking ?

You do not need to already have an ADR in place to call and book the CP dinner package. Some of us already made ADR's when we our 180 days were up in order to make sure we had dinner plans in place. I heard that you need to cancel the prior one in order to book the package.

If you look at the index page of the DIS at the top there is a link to the dates and the speakers for the CP.

we are planning on the 5th as well probably not a le cellier we ate there last trip and were unimpressed so i think we will go for italian coral reef or rose and crown which we already have an adr for. we want to go to the 645 show fingers crossed we will not be on hold long tomorrow morning i will be at work;) on the cell!

We are hoping for Garden Grill and the 6:45 p.m. show on November 28. We've never eaten at Garden Grill before. Any comments would be welcome. We will be a party of 10 (four generations!) and we're trying to keep costs down. We'll have two boys ages 7 and 8 in the party. Any comments on the food would be great.

The usual rules apply to difficulty. Le Cellier is always a tough ADR to get. Rose & Crown can be difficult too. I think because the price is lower and there are lots of families with small children that go in early December, that you will see that the lunch CP packages are going to be tougher to get, not only because you can leave the park earlier, but because there is only one lunch package seating time block available.

YMMV....Check back here tomorrow to let us know how it turned out for you.

I liked GG. It is a nice character meal, the food was good and it was all you care to eat. Our server was good about offering more of everything.

I have several things I hope you guys can help with, one of which a couple of others have already asked but I haven't seen responses to:

1 - What does the package include, foodwise?

2 - Am I understanding that the 180 day rule is still in effect? We want to do CP on 12/30 (it's the only night that our entire family will be in WDW), but we don't check in to the BWV until 12/27 (so even our 180 + 10 isn't for a few more days). I'm concerned that there won't be ADRs available by the time we have an opportunity to book.

3 - Does anyone recall what time the tree lighting is? I know we'd like to see that as well, so if there's a way to do both, that will play into what package we try for.

Thanks in advance for any help!

OMG!! I am SO glad I checked this board today - have been away for a few days!! I had NO IDEA that I could book CP tomorrow morning... I am going to have to call on my way into work... Any tricks to getting through!!!

My 180 days is not until Wednesday - I can still book this, right? I am hoping to get LeCellier on December 24th for the 8:15 show.... Gosh I hope we get this... what do you think?? Got a chance at it????

I am not sure if you can call before the 180 day mark or not. I think we did make them earlier in previous years. We received an appetizer, and a dessert as well as the main course in the past but that was two years ago so I am not sure what is included this time.:confused3

I thought that even if you were on the regular dining plan (i.e. not deluxe, premium, etc.) that 1 credit is all it took for the CP. Has anyone officially confirmed that you cannot book this until 180days+10 out?

Also is the time that they open up bookings in Eastern time? (i.e. 700ET)?
