Anyone know when the Candlelight Procession is scheduled for DL? Also....how crowded will that weekend be because of it. We are scheduled to be there Dec 4-9th.

I heard you can buy a dinner package for it....how if it is true?
Thanks a bunch!:earsgirl:

I haven't seen any CP info yet. To my knowledge they've never had a dinner package with it, and it's not something you can book ahead of time. This is a DL tradition that is for CMs so they are given priority. A limited (and I mean limited) number of tickets are available for guests. If they do it at the train station like they used to and did last year, then its a bit more open to see. In any case you can watch them come down mainstreet.

CP is traditionally the second (I think, could be first) weekend in december.

<font color=navy>They did have dinner packages last year - I think you could choose Storyteller, Granville, and I forget the third restaurant ... I waited too long, so I didn't do it....

but, maybe this year. :)

I'm thinking that CP will be the 11th/12th this year.

I was actually hoping it wouldn't be the week I was going only because of the increased crowd factor. I had heard that at DL the line and trying to get your seat was very disorganized and people have to wait along time to get their seat.

I had seen this at WDW and it was very BEAUTIFUL! I think everyone should at least try to see it once. They do a spectacular job and it really gets you in the season.:earsgirl:

My sister, brother in law, and nieces came down during the weekend of candlelight last year. it was crowded but not too bad. This event does not get publicized like it does at WDW so, it doesn't effect the crowds.
Yes there is a lunch / dinner package you can purchase but, it was pretty over priced.... I think you had to spend a minimum of $35 per person if you ate at Storytellers, and I think like $55 per person at Granville's... There were other restaurants too but, they really make you work hard to spend your money. You can still usually find a place on Main Street to watch it. Hopefully, they will have it on Main Street again this year. So much more beautiful there.

Two years ago we wanted a quick trip to DL to see the Christmas decorations. We had never heard of the Candlelight Procession before and will NEVER go again when it is going on. It was so crowded you couldn't even walk and we have been to WDW and DL during their peak attendance times and this was one of the worst. We talked to several CMs who told us it is so bad because all of the families of those who participate in the Procession get in free. JMHO

According to Mouseplanet.com

"Disneyland's Candlelight Procession and Ceremony, with guest narrator Marie Osmond. Saturday, December 4 and Sunday, December 5."

Does anybody have more info on this yet, such as time and location?
