Candlelight Packages Meal Times

I've been trying to figure out which meal times are associated with which shows. Everything I find says that CP packages don't even start until 12:30pm, and that's for the 5pm show. So how come I have a CP package reservation for Via Napoli at 12:00pm that says I'm going to the 6:45pm show? It's a perfect time for me, but I want to make sure it's correct before I relax. Is there something wrong, or am I making mountains out of molehills?

They changed it this year, and you get to choose the show you want to see. I'm not sure how that is going to pan out in the end, but if your ressie says you have the 6:45 pm show, you have the 6:45 pm show.

And if you want to change to a show at a different time, you have to call. (At least that's what I had to do.)

I just don't see how this is going to work out well. Most people want to pay the "lunch" price, but not see the first show because it is still light outside. I hope Disney is properly monitoring attendance for the last two shows based on this change. Can you imagine paying for this overpriced package [which I have done many times, don't get me wrong] and then not be able to get in?

I have a 12:45 lunch reservation for CP package at Via Napoli and was assigned the 8:15pm show (which is what I wanted). I think the only restriction on what time show you were going to is that the show had to be 2 hours after the meal. I thought I read that at the meal you would be given a band or something for your corresponding show. Disney is organized - I'm sure they will be making sure people with reservations are at the right show and not just letting anyone in...but maybe Im just being optimistic

I don't think the PP is worried about people not going at their assigned time. The problem is most people do NOT want the 5:00 show because it is still light outside when the show begins. So are they monitoring and cutting off the later shows or are they going to be overcrowded?

One possible good thing about it is standby for the 5:00 may be able to get in. On the flip side, standby for the later shows may be completely out of luck.

That is exactly what I meant. You pay less for the lunch package with the trade-off being [in the past] some of the show will be while it is still light outside. Now they took that incentive away to do the early show by allowing lunch prices to be for later shows. :confused3 Via Napoli has the exact same menu for lunch and dinner, yet the dinner package cost is $12. more.

I'm just concerned Disney didn't think this all the way through and hope they are cutting off the later 2 shows for the packages when appropriate.
