Cancelling Wanna Get Away tickets

Does anyone know the details of cancelling "Wanna Get Away" SW tickets? Is it true if I need to cancel our flight, I can get a credit from SW for the money I paid to be used on a future flight? When do the funds have to be used by, and is it from the purchase date or original flight date?

If you have to cancel, they will refund the ticket price to you as a credit that will have to be used within one year of the actual purchase date.

It's one year from the purchase date. So if you bought it on 12-1-13, your new flight would have to take place by 12-1-14. It can only be used by the same person. You can extend it beyond 12-1-14 for a $100 fee and it would not have to be used by the same person.

One other thing. Same example, you reschedule for 10-1-14. If you would cancel that ticket, the funds on that ticket would still expire 12-1-14 even if you paid more money.
