Cancelling package would delete automatic my reservations of restaurants and parks?

Hi, I have a hotel package with tickets booked with Disney, however, I am considering renting points from DVC and cancel the reservation of the hotel. The question is if I do the park reservations and restaurant reservations and the decided to purchase the tickets individually and renting points will I lose the reservations? if I link the reservation of DVC and tickets before canceling the hotel package directly with Disney would the reservations maintained after canceling the hotel package? Thanks

If you link your new package first, your park and dining reservations will remain in tact. I believe it is only the park reservations that Disney has a system of cancelling, and it runs people to confirm there are tickets associated. Any cancelation of dining is the responsibility of the person booking it.
