Cancelling Cruise Booked with Placeholder?

If I cancel a cruise I booked with a placeholder do I get the full deposit back? By that I mean the original $250 plus what I paid when booking, the agent on the phone said I would lose the placeholder if I cancelled, my guess is she meant the discount but I wanted to see if anyone here could clarify. Thanks!

Assuming you are not within the penalty period you will get back the deposit (which includes the original $250) plus any other funds paid. You would lose any discount. If you push the booking out (still within the 24-month window) you can retain the discount.
