If you are in a park or where ever and see that you won't make a reservation (in another park for example) can you just call Disney Dining? Would it then show up right away on the computer screen at the restaurant that you have cancelled?

Thanks!

Hi,

Yes you can...we've done it.

We have also called Dinsey Dining for an ADR at Hollywood & Vine while walking from Epcot to the Studios, and when we arrived at the restaurant our ADR was on the computer.

Yes you can, yes it will, and yes you should. Thank you for being so considerate!

I think you can also just walk up to a podium at ANY WDW restaurant and tell them your ADR #, where it is and the time, and they can cancel it right from there. I have not personally done this, but I've read on here that you can.

Last year during free dining, we got rained out on our USO/IOA day and on our way out of the park around 6pm we called Disney Dining and got a reservation for 5 for dinner at Concourse Steakhouse within the hour. We went straight to the CR and were in the system when we arrived.

Yes, you can call and cancel it. And thank you for thinking about doing that. We've had to call and change our lunch reservation when we got a late start on the day and were still driving to Disney World when I called. I was able to switch to a later time and when we got to the restaurants (Sci Fi), our reservation was in the system for the later time.

You can also go to Guest Services at any of the parks to cancel an ADR. :upsidedow

Yep, had to cancel ADR's at the last minute a few times, couldn't get the grandkids to wake up from their naps! And my daughters weren't going to let me wake them up! When I called, the CM who answered said, "You just made someone very happy"

Definitely call! I'm afraid Disney is gonna change this very convenient system in the future because of all the folks making multiple ADRs for the same meal and not showing up for them or just not showing up for or canceling a single ADR. I see credit card holds as a real possibility in the future. :sad2: Always keep the DD# on you or better yet, program it into your cell phone and call them as soon as you know for sure that you won't need the reservation.:thumbsup2
