How do you do this?? Or for that matter, how do you retrieve the ones you have just to double check? Surely there has to be a way and I'm just missing it!

It's easy! You just go to disneyworld.com and sign in. Then mouseover where it says "My Disney Vacation" and go down to the bottom of the pop-up menu and click where it says "Dining Reservations" It should bring up all of your ADRs! And next to each one there should be a button that says "Cancel"

PERFECT! I knew it had to be easy to do... just couldn't find it!!! Thank you very much! :goodvibes

Does anyone know how long it takes the online system to refresh itself? I am trying to swap reservations with someone and wondering how long after a reservation is cancelled is it available to book?
Any input would be appreciated
Thanks

It should be pretty much immediate.

Thanks for the info!

I've always had real trouble retrieving individual reservations (Non-USA telephone numbers seem to be on some alien planet as far as the Disney computer systems are concerned) but using that link all my ressies were listed fine!

Is that drop-down option new, as I've never seen it before? The facility doesn't seem to appear anywhere on the main My Disney Vaction pages.

FYI for anyone interested. Cancelled reservations open up in the online system almost immediately

Yep, they updated/added the reservation listing page at the same time they updated the ADR system to v2.

I have made 16 ADR's and would like to review them and have logged into Disney.com but I cannot see anywhere on the site where it says My Disney Vacation, can anyone help?

There are 2 methods right now

First method. The new (v2) ADR site:

  1. Head to http://disneyword.disney.go.com/
  2. Hover the mouse over the "My Disney Vacation" menu item (with the orange suitcase)
  3. Click "Dining Reservations" from the dropdown menu
  4. Log into your WDW account
From here, it should list the ADRs made while signed into your account. However, since the change is new, not all (or even any!) may display here.

For those ADRs that do not show up,

  1. On the right of the screen is a box stating "Don't See All Your Reservations?"
  2. Inside that box, click the "Retrieve your reservation by confirmation number>" (Though, the bracket there may be removed at some point, I'm thinking it's a bad HTML tag)
  3. Here you're brought to the older (v1) reservation retrieval system
  4. Click the "Retrieve Multiple Reservations" link to display as many rows of boxes as you need
  5. Enter the confirmation number and phone number for each ADR into the appropriate boxes. Note: Depending on how you booked, you may have used a different phone number than expected. Typically, if booking over the phone it may be your home phone that they have on record. If booking online, it may be a cell phone that you entered.
  6. Click the "Retrieve Dining" button
If ADRs still do not display, you either used the wrong phone number or something is up with the system. At this point, the best thing would be to call Disney Dining sometime during the day. (I just noticed you're from across the pond, so here's to hoping you don't have to make that call :))

Thanks, the porblem seems to be that I don't have the My Vacation Disney option or suitcase on the screen after (or before) I log in. I know I have used this in the past just after I first made the ADR about 4 months ago; made a fresh ADR on this account this morning.

Where on the screen is the My Vacation option?

It should be in the top left area, pretty much right below the "Parks" menu.

Of course, even though I realized last post you are from the UK, I didn't think about different websites :(. I tried to see if I could pull up my reservation over on the UK site, but I could not.

The actual ADR system should be the same between the 2 locales, so the 2nd method should work for you going to the US/NA website. Maybe someone else from that side of the world will chime in with details on the UK site, but I'm stuck on this one :(.

thanks is very helpful in that the option I need is missing from my page and isnlt avialable on the UK page, my menu goes from logout to passholders. I made the ADR's on line using the normal US site Dining Reservation; sorta feels like Disney have lost all my stuff :confused3

Just noticed you are in the UK. The Disney World website (very rudely!) forces us to the UK site, even if we type "www.disneyworld.com" rather than "www.disneyworld.co.uk". It's a real pain, and Disney seriously need to learn that redirects should be OFFERED to the visitor rather than blindly forced upon them.

To get around this, at the bottom-left of the home page there is an option to visit International versions of the site and you'll need to select the "USA: English" version and click "Go". You can bookmark the US version once you get there, which should be http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/?forceDomestic=true, but for some reason the bookmarked link doesn't always seem to offer the "My Disney Vacation" facility.

Or you could try this direct link: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/reservations/dining/retrieve-reservations/ (although the site may still force you back to the UK version at first).

Unfortunately, I was playing with the UK site late last night :( so don't quite remember how I got there (I did get to the same spot on the US site through it, with that query string). I believe it was the following:
1) http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdwi/en_GB/index (This is the UK main page)
2) Click Dining & Reservations from the left side box below the log in area
3) There should be an option somewhere that states "Book Reservations" or something along those lines.
4) This should take you to the forced domestic page of the WDW site.

I may have missed a step or two in the above, like I said it was real late (4am I think) when I was playing with it.

I did intially have a question in here about the ?ForceDomestic=True query string, but then I reread fuse's post where he actually has it bookmarked, so that answered that question.

I would try logging in over on the UK site, then opening up another browser tab and using that link and seeing what happens. (Note, I could not log in on the UK site, but when I logged in on the US site, it updated me as being logged in over on the UK side.)

We'll get all this figured out for you guys soon enough! It wouldn't surprise me if the site itself was a bit messed up as well (and my "Insulting Disney Web Development/IT" requirement has been achieved for this thread!)

If you're on the UK version of the site (and annoyingly that is no longer indicated in the address bar, which just shows http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/) you can get to the Dining Reservations page, but not some of the other stuff on the US site, such as the "My Disney Vacation" link.

The easiest ways to tell which site you're one are (a) the phone number is listed as 0870... in the UK, rather than 407... and (b) the top bar will list "FREE Holiday Planning DVD" (UK) as opposed to "FREE Vacation Planning DVD" (US). The search bar right at the top is another clue.

I've just checked though, and the link http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/reservations/dining/retrieve-reservations/ will still work even if you are currently in the UK site - there's just nothing on the site which you can click to take you there (as far as I can tell).

Brilliant , I will try later and you answered another question for me. I couldn't understand why the 0870 number was on the US website and checked the address bar for the usual xxxxx/gb/en but as it was just .com assumed it must be the US site...silly me

what is it with Disney and the web:confused3
