Hi

This is a follow up to my dilemna thread...a quick over view is that my mother who was stable with her cancer when we purchased the trip now has quickly gotten worse and we might have to cancel our 4/6 Magic cruise. We did purchase travel insurance through Disney and I think we can get our refund because of her "stable nature" ( and a letter stating she was stable her nice oncologist will write) when we purchased the trip 8 mos ago.

What has the experience been from anyone who cancelled a trip? Do they give you a hard time? How long does it take to get money back? What is the latest you can cancel? This might be a last minute decision on our part, but I don't want to miss a window of opportunity to cancel and get a full refund.

I also don't want to call the insurance at this point either to get a "red flag" on our account.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Cjhardin,
I can't help the ins. issue but want to let you know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Having planned a trip with so much anticipation to only have to cancel is tough, but to watch your parent suffer with an illness is heartbreaking. We are going thru the same situation with my Dad so I know exactally where you are coming from. Keep the faith, God Bless and
I do hope she gets better ^i^
