Cancelling a Ressie

I know this has been asked before, but the search feature stinks.

If I cancel a ressie that I made with points does it go back into my account and could i bank the points if need be that i made with the ressie i will no longer use.

Say I made a ressie at 11 months out and decided to cancel them at 4 months out.

If you are in your banking period, and if the points are from the current UY, you can bank them, even if they had been used for a reservation you have cancelled over 30 days out.

If the points had been already banked into the use year of the reservation, or if they have been borrowed, they could not be banked.
