I just rec'd my planner and I'm thinking about our first trip, but I couldn't make sense of the cancellation policies. Can someone explain them, in particular what exactly does the "holding" of points mean if you cancel? Does that happen with any cancellation or just when it's within 30 days of arrival date? And what does it mean about the points going back into the same UY? For ex, I have a Dec UY... if I bank 2007 points and book a trip for 2009 using the 2007 and 2008 points and I have to cancel, do they both go back into the 2008 UY or do I lose the 2007 points?
