Cancelling a Reservation with borrowed points.

Hi if I make a reservation with borrowed points and then end up having to cancel the reservation are the points returned into that use year? Would I end up losing the points? Or would the points be returned into the current use year?

No. Borrowing is permanent. They will remain in the year that you borrowed them into and will expire at the end of that UY.

No, you cannot bank points that have been borrowed. They would expire at the end of the UY.

Banking and borrowing are final transactions. Thst means, once moved, they can’t move again.

So if you borrow for a trip and cancel, those points must be used by the end of that UY.
