Cancelled Virgin Flight VS050 2nd June 06

Booked to travel to Orlando on 19th May and return 2nd June 2006 - checked my pre assigned seating today and return flight No: VS050 21:10 has disappeared! I phoned VA immediately and was told flight had been cancelled due to operational reasons and our booking transferred to the earlier VS016 - has anybody else experienced this? As weve been preassigned seats 3 one side of the plane and 1 the other on the new flight - does anyone know of a good cyber cafe where we can do online check in the day before and hopefully sit together?

i know virgin cancelled some flights earlier this year due to low bookings i think

Appears we're victims of the same operational problems which have affected the September flights - the only difference is we only booked with VH approx 4 weeks ago !!!

Suggest everyone on the VS050 should check their flights as this appears to affect all flights from early May through to end Oct

Couldnt resist replying to your post as not only are we flying on exactly the same days but we live in the same town!!! what a small world after all,
We are staying at the Holiday inn sunspree and so looking forward to the trip...i'm sure you are counting down too, only 199 days to go hooray
Seems we are unaffected by the change as we were booked on the earlier flight anyway, hope it doesn't inconvenience you too much Rachael

Thanks for the post! this will be our second time, first trip 2003 to Vistana Villages and next year a friends villa - glad the changes are not affecting your trip - it appears to be only the late flight but now all the pre-assigned seats have gone on the earlier flight we've been split up which is really annoying - guess we're going to have to jostle for the remaining 40% at check-in !! Which flight are you on outbound?

Didnt realise the countdown was under 200 days - I havn't sussed the ticker yet!!
