My DH and I had a trip scheduled in November for our Anniversary which we now have cancelled.
For the last several months my husband has been having "dizzy" spells. Last month I took him to the ER after he had a feeling of severe "spinning" and we thought that he was having another TIA. Well they ruled that out and thought that his BP meds were causing his BP to drop too low and thus the dizziness. He was hospitalized for 5 days and during this period, an MRI showed that he has an acoustic neuroma, which is a benign tumor on the nerve from his ear to his brain, causing dizziness and deafness. He is having surgery at one of the top Boston hospitals next week. It is an 8-10 hour surgery and afterwards he may be out of work for 2 months. Could you please say a prayer for a safe, successful surgery and a good outcome for my husband afterwards?

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

LORD, bless the minds, hearts, and hands of those medical professionals you have given your wisdom.

Our prayers are with you and hoping you'll be celebrating at Disney real soon.

My dad has this done several years ago. Scary time. He has total hearing lose in the right ear. When he smiles there is a small noticeable difference. His facial nerve was affected. His eyes water when he eats...don't ask me why. He now has Hearing device that helps him hear threw his good ear. 16 years Later he is doing well and still working full time. Prayers for a safe journey...

Prayers for both of you. You both need it. We recently had a family major medical issues. As an aside, I used to live in Massachusetts and always maintain that Boston does have some of the medical care anywhere. Please keep us posted.

I'm glad that your Dad is doing well, sixteen years later. They are trying a method to save as much hearing as possible and did tell us that he could have some facial numbness...best case scenario it would be temporary. Thank you for your prayers.

I hope that your family medical issues have been resolved. We live about 90 miles outside of Boston. My husband's surgeon is one of the top specialists in the country. Thank you for your prayers.
