cancelled cruise

has disney ever cancelled a cruise because of potential bad weather like a whole week of rain..im not talking about hurricanes but just wondering

I don't remember reading here that a DCL cruise has been cancelled in the past due to weather problems, however there was a couple years ago around Thanksgiving if i am remembering right, that a cruise was cancelled due to the Norwalk virus.

No Disney has never cancelled a cruise due to weather. There was one cruise, that Sue mentioned, that was cancelled due to the outbreak of Norwalk Virus. That is very, very rare.

When bad weather is forecast Disney has the discretion to take the ship elsewhere to avoid it. So sometimes you get a mystery cruise. They won't do this for rain only, but for really bad weather like a hurricane etc.

Way back in late September 2002....Hurricane Lili prevented the Magic from sailing on the Western Itinerary - we had a great time, Sunday was at CC, then to San Juan, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and later back to CC! The weather for us was spectacular - the sea was like glass, blue skies and just great temps!

Probably the best cruise out of 7, we've had!
