Cancellations for EPCOT Moonlight Magic?

We just planned a last minute 9 Night resort only trip for August so we were too late to snag Moonlight Magic tickets. I keep checking online for cancellations with no luck. Has anyone had luck snagging cancellations? Should I just keep checking online or should I be calling?

For the last Epcot event we needed an extra ticket. Called MS a couple of times per day for weeks with no luck.

For the last AK event, I planned a last minute trip and tried for weeks to score a cancellation... only needed 1 ticket. Nada. I think these are probably scarcer than hen's teeth.

Thanks for your responses. I was really hoping to snag tickets. I'm finding WDW ticket pricing insane for a family of five so we've been avoiding the parks these last few trips, then add in that our Canadian dollar has tanked and it makes it the prices outrageous. This would have been a nice way to enjoy a benefit of DVC and enjoy a park. I did cave and buy MNSSHP tickets so we do have a small plan for our 9 Night trip. LOL

I wonder if they really process cancellations. It seemed to me that the process was so messed up that they didn't want to deal with it.

I sent a little email off asking them about finding a better process for cancellations as there are so many members hopeful to take their place. I'm so thankful for these events but we are last minute travellers and can never plan to take advantage of these events so our only chance if off a cancellation.
