cancellation policy for free dining??

We have a room only reservation for Dec 19-23 at WL. I just called and asked if the QXZ Visa code could be applied. First he said no, wrong dates. Then I ask another question about my ressie being emailed to me and he put me on hold. Then he came back with this terrific offer. 6 days, 5 nights, courtyard view, free dining, tickets. for just $300 more than we were paying for the room only standard view. Whew! Then he told me I could cancel until Nov 3 with NO penalty. Is this true??

The reason we like our room only is b/c dh's job could be in jeopardy. We probably shouldn't be going at all, but we felt the same way last year and he's still working. But I'd like to be able to cancel if I have to.

What is the cancellation policy for the free dining packages?

Disney's cancellation policy on packages is 45 days, regardless if you have the free (or paid) dining plan. :thumbsup2
 
I think you can buy their insurance for $66 or so per adult. I'd do that ASAP. I don't know the details, but I'd get the insurance.
 
The cancellation policy is $100 per package for days 44 - 6 before your arrival date and $200 per package for 5 days of less. Vacation insurance for our family would be about $150 and I believe the most we could get changed is $200, so we're risking the $50. Though if I'm wrong and someone has better information, please let me know!
