Cancellation Policy Change!?!?!

I just booked a room only for two nights in April. The CM told me the cancellation policy is if you cancel between 6-45 days before your arrival you are charged $100.00! If within the 6 day period before your arrival it's $200.00! Is this new?? I asked her and she said it's been that way as long as she has worked there. Something doesn't seem right here, can anyone verify this?

Sounds like she booked some type of package. I booked a room only for March a few weeks ago, only have to cancel before 5 days of arriving. And actually, I did have to cancel it - just changed my mind - with no problem, complete refund.

You have a WDTC reservation. Those terms are correct for a WDTC booking. You also put $200 deposit down and the balance is due 45 days prior to arrival.

If you reserved the room only at rack rate, you can call back and make a new reservation through CRO. It will be a one night's deposit plus tax and you can cancel up to 6 days prior to arrival with no penalty.

Don't cancel your original reservation until you get the new one.

Cancellation policy for room only ressie was still 5 days before when I was there in December. I'd suggest calling back and speaking to a different CM. Good luck!

Thank you all, I took your suggestion and called back. Turns out she did have me down for a pkg. even though I booked rooms only. Also when I originally booked I wanted All-Star Movies and she said nothing available for the dates I wanted, so I settled for Music. After posting this ?, I called AAA and she was able to book Movies for me with no problem and with the 5 day cancellation policy that I am used to. So, it all worked out in the end! Thanks again for your help!!
