Cancellation insurance

If you've redeemed Air Miles for plane tickets did you purchase the cancellation insurance? Is it worth it?

Remember that cancellation insurance almost always includes interruption insurance, which will pay for a one-way ticket home and reimburse unused (prepaid) vacation expenses if you need to return home early.

I'm not going to to into the friend's-mother-dying story again. Suffice it to say there are times when you need to get home ASAP and a 1-way ticket home can cost a lot.
