I am sorry to hear about your injury.
I removed the dates, resort and room size of what you are going to be canceling because we do not allow that to be shared as it could be seen as a "for rent" post, even though I don't think that was your purpose.
If you are more than 31 days out, you can cancel without penalty and the points will go back into your account in the same status they were in the trip...so, banked will be banked, borrowed will be borrowed and current UY will be current UY.
If you are still within your banking window, you can bank the current points. The banked and borrowed points will have to be used by the end of the UY....you could call MS, explain and you might get some pixie dust for the borrowed points in which they could return them...there is nothing that can be done with already banked points as they can't be banked again.
You could not cancel and rent the reservation as is, or cancel and have the points moved into II for a trip via an exchange to someplace else.
