What is the cancelation policy for dvc???

If a DVC Member cancels a reservation 31 or more days prior to arrival, the points return to normal status in the use year. If any points were borrowed from the next use year for the reservation, they can not be banked back to their original use year, banking & borrowing are final transactions. You may ban current use year points, in you are within your normal banking window, or else, as always, they need to be used by the end of the current use year.

If you cancel 30 days or less prior to check-in date, points go into "holding status," meaning they can only be used for reservations made 60 days or less prior to check-in, and they can not be banked...they must be used by the end of the use year or lost.

If you cancel day of arrival, points are considered spent and are lost.

If you have rented points from a DVC member, there is not cancellation policy. It is a private transaction between two people, and cancellation is fully negotiable. Most members consider any rented reservation as a final transaction, no refunds.

31 days or longer before your arrival date, your points just go back into your account. Side note here: If you have borrowed points they will stay in the use year into which you have borrowed them. After 31 days, your points will go into a holding account and you can't make reservations using these points prior to 60 days before the start of your reservation. If you cancel the day of your reservation, you will lose all your points. Hope this helps.
