Cancel reservation through Costco without calling?

Hello. I have an Aug 2022 cruise booked with Costco. Paid mostly with a credit card and some Disney Gift Cards. What's the least painful way to cancel? I dread calling but I guess if I have to do it, I should it before booking opens for summer 2023...

You probably have to use COSTCO since they are your TA, don't think DCL will cancel it.

This. If you use a TA of any type - small business actual agent or people playing agent for a big box store - you have to cancel through them.

Costco has a cancellation form that you can fill out. Once you fill it out and submit it they will cancel it for you and send you a confirmation, or if they need more info for some reason, they will call you to get any clarification that they need. So no, you don't have to call if you go the cancellation form route.

Thanks, All. Yes, I should've clairfied that I know I have to contact Costco to do the canceling since I booked w/ them.

Has anyone had success using that form recently? Can anyone confirm that they had no trouble being refunded to a credit card AND Disney Gift Cards? Thanks!

Refunds will go to the same form of payment used. It does tend to come back in odd chunks, so if you used multiple payment methods you'll want to keep an eye on them all.

Ok, I've got another update for anyone following this! The info from Costco's site isn't completely accurate. After logging in, choose Bookings, then Upcoming, then Mangage Payment, and then Cancellation/Change Information. This takes you to a list of forms, which is actually the one that was sent to my email directly back in March (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeWGNGlMDS_gvHr9nNg6oza4UDfYdqCyDXArYI-OVMBEm4LXA/viewform). So it all comes full circle, lol.

You need to call but good news, Costco has a separate phone number to call Disney that is faster than the one the public uses. When I called to change my room it was only about 30 minutes to get it done between Costco and DCL.

Just wondering if you called Costco lately? Previously, Costco has gotten thru to Disney really quickly whenever I have had to call. I just haven’t had to call since January!

2 days ago. I was nervous because of all the reports of huge waits but I reached an agent at Costco right away and then they got through to Disney pretty fast too. We were all done in under 30 minutes. The agent even said they had a different faster number to call Disney

That is wonderful news! I knew they had a special number to call Disney to get thru quicker, but figured they also had to deal with the huge waits lately!

Yea I had worried about that too. Fortunately I didn’t NEED to call. I just wanted to change staterooms and if it had been a huge wait I just wouldn’t have bothered but I was pleasantly surprised by how quick it was.

I had read that Costco was not doing new Disney Cruise bookings because of the waits, maybe that lead to a dedicated line.
