Cancel part of a reservation?

If I make say a 7 day reservation, can I later cancel maybe the 1st three days but keep the last four?

Yes, by phone only not on-line. You can alter a reservation by taking any days off the beginning or end but not by taking them out of the middle. The on-line system is not set up to do it so you must call MS.

I've also successfully 'split' a 7 day reservation into a 4 day and 3 day reservation. We had a weird situation where we were travelling with my sister and her husband. Because of work demands, they could only go for the 1st 3 days and we could only go for the last 4 days. MS split the reservation and we were able to use the whole week - with different names on the reservation.
