I've been planning a trip with another family. First we were booked for Dec. 2015 but their daughter broke her leg in September, so we pushed it back to January 2016. Now they are discussing postponing it again since she just got her cast off and because of financial reasons. Which I understand completely.
However, the points I used are from a Feb. 2015 UY. So they will expire on Jan 31 2016. I've already passed my banking window.
What happens if I cancel? I'm assuming I lose these points. Or do they go into holding? If I understand holding correctly, I can still use them, but I can't book more than 60 days in advance.
I'm hoping they decide not to cancel since DS and I have APs that also expire on Feb. 1st. He will be disappointed if his friends won't be there with us, but I'm not spending $800 on park tickets for later in 2016 when we have only one trip on these APs right now.
