I can't travel to the USA right now as I'm waiting on a specialist appointment to clear me then wait the tine to be eligible for out of country medical. So it's good timing cause my dh is adamant we aren't going there for a while. Lol

Our next trip was to be Hawaii so we'll see. I am enjoying watching you tube videos of Portugal and Thailand, Costa Rica and Mexican Resorts in the meantime.

But, next Disney trip was to be with our other set of grandkids and I'm not missing out on that first trip with them!

PEI gets lots of visitors from the USA every year. Where we go camping they always have caravans of Americans arrive in their motorhomes.

obviously you missed the point where I said my cousin's bed and breakfast has never been full until July. That's a big issue in PEI...they've been trying for years to increase the business during the shoulder season.

what is it about this thread that people go out of their way to dispute everything that "the other side" posts. I don't really think that your experience from past years in whatever province you live in whenever you happened to be camping is evidence that my cousin is lying about the fact that being full in June in PEI is unexpected.

I heard a lot of this during the pandemic. World's a very big place.

And this is why we've decided on Disney Paris...and Paris. Yes we've loved Disney World but life is short....too short to just keep going to the same place every year. There is so much of the world that my family hasn't seen yet, and I'm willing to bet Adventures by Disney has increasing sales to other parts of the world

Enjoy. I won't spoil some rides but there were times were I was like, what....this is not what this ride is supposed to be like. . And the outlet mall near the park is great too.

Was supposed to be in wdw this week. And just need to turn on the tv to know why I'm happy that I'm not spending anything in the US. Not even Tuesday. Lol.

Every time you think things couldn’t get worse bam! They do. This is the first summer since early 2000’s we aren’t going to wdw or dl. Or just crossing the border day tripping in Washington. Trader Joes……. Sigh.
Has anyone had a difficult time crossing the border either driving or flying? I think it depends on what side of the bed the border agent got up on! I’ve heard of someone being asked what they thought of Trump, going thru his phone etc. got 5 yr travel ban.

I crossed the border into the US on a cruise ship end of May. Processing of us may have been a little different. We stood in a line and then up to the agent. He asked for my passport, asked how long I was going to be in the US (till 4pm the next day) and then he wished me a good day. He took my picture before even talking to me so I didn't even notice he had done it until he took DH photo. It was seamless.

I did notice some people in another line were having their fingerprints taken as well as a photo. It may have been they were from a country other than Canada or the US.

They took our photos again when boarding the plane in Boston and had a security person on the gangway to the plane to make sure we all got on. Happy to go on the trip but also glad to be home. Customs in Ottawa was easy peasy as usual.

We crossed the border two weeks ago to go to Frankenmuth, Michigan. The border guard could not have been nicer
