Hi all

I was just wondering about this. What should we do here? I'm now making more money with these programs than ever before due to all the surveys. How much do we have to earn to have to file taxes?? I don't want to get in trouble, but I have no idea how to proceed either. Thanks!

I do not know about Canadian Taxes but here in the US anything you earn should be reported in your taxes as income.

As far as everything I could find out said, we don't have to pay taxes. Just like we wouldn't for a lottery win etc.

Thanks for the replies. I just want to make sure I do the right thing!

I wanted to bump this thread now that we're in tax season again. Is there any updated info for Canadians? I earned a few hundred dollars on surveys through this American reward programs and I want to be sure to do the right thing. Thank you.

I don't know about Canadian's, but rewards sites aren't taxable in the US, since the bulk of the money is cash back for shopping, it isn't considered taxable, just like rewards you earn on your credit card aren't taxable.

Curious, what site was this? I'm looking for a good one but they're hard to find! :)

I do Sunshine Rewards and have an average of about $300 a year (although that has increased lately :) )

Great customer service and she does look for offers for those of us in the North. We can also access the surveys, which is a great steady way to make money. There are also sites like Indigo and Home Depot Canada for shopping :goodvibes
