Hello Disney Fans!

My work might have me in the Orlando area around Canadian Thanksgiving. My initial research notes that park levels aren't that crowded, but was wondering if anyone on here has been at Disney the week of our Canadian Thanksgiving? I am thinking with having to be there on the Tuesday after the holiday Monday, we just might go Thanksgiving weekend and stay the week.

Any feedback is appreciated on the weather, crowd levels, etc

We flew down the Friday before Thanksgiving and we flew back home on Thanksgiving Monday, so just a quick three day trip.

This is also Columbus Day weekend for the States.

The weather was beautiful and hot, but not too humid. We are used to August weather, so it didn't feel too hot. It was perfect. Crowds were moderate that weekend, accept the one piece of advice I can give you is to avoid Epcot on a Saturday because of the F&W festival. The lines for food and drinks for the festival were INSANE!!!

Other then Epcot on a Saturday, everything else was awesome. The only park we didn't make it to was AK. I wouldn't hesitate to go down during this time again.

Oh, and we ate at Liberty Tree Tavern for Thanksgiving and it was delicious! :)

We did the Disney Dream 2 years ago in October right over Thanksgiving. The weather was totally amazing except for our very last day, we got a tropical storm and that was awful, but we flew out on time !! The weather otherwise was high 80's low 90's.
We did not do Disney World, but stayed pre and post cruise in Cocoa Beach.

We were just in FL the week before/during Thanksgiving this year. We didn't do Disney but Universal instead. The lines were quite reasonable, weather was great. It's one of my favorite time of the year to go, water is still warm from the summer but not too hot and humid, nothing is too busy ;)

Disneylover99 really hit the nail on the head- an excellent description of WDW during Cdn Thanksgiving. Columbus Day in the States is really kind of a minor holiday, and the parks aren't overrun like they are at other times (Easter, July 4, US Thanksgiving, etc). But you do have to be mindful of the F&W crowds at Epcot- most especially on the weekends. Also, the MNSSHPs will be going on at MK, so park hours will be affected on at least 3 days each week.

We went the week of Thanksgiving in 2012. It was great! We landed on the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend, and left the following Sunday. Epcot was crazy busy the whole week - but only in the World Showcase, and only around all the food carts. The actual rides, shops, etc. weren't really that crowded at all. Magic Kingdom we walked on rides, and MNSSHP was awesome! The weather was the best we've ever had in FL - hot, sunny, but not humid. We're hoping to back the same time this year.

We have been twice during the CND thanksgiving weekend. Once the weather was incredible and partially the reason we went back. The next time it was terribly humid and sticky (temps in the mid 90s) with one day having almost hurricane type winds and rain. It is the tail end of the summer storm season however it is still one of our fav times to go.

Had a great time during the week of Canadian Thanksgiving. It poured our first day there but the rest of the week was good. We went to Le Cellier on Thanksgiving day. Our server said 'Happy Thanksgiving' but that was all. Food was delicious as usual though!
Crowds were manageable. Walked on to many rides.
MNSSHP was great! Loved the parade, fireworks and guest costumes. We rode POC that night and it was like we were the only ones there. All boats in front and back of us were empty!
Happy planning! Have fun!
