Canadian resident tickets?

Been a while since I had Canadian Tickets. Last time, in 2020, we had to activate them and show proof of residency at Disney Springs before using them. I can't remember if we do this at the Welcome Center or the Ticket Center... Can someone please refresh my memory?

I think 2020 was the last time we had to "activate" our Canadian Tickets. Now they are good to go right away. Note that we are DVC and have had the same account/address for years, so it might be something attached to our account.

With a canadian resident ticket and staying offsite, I can still book LLs 3 days out?

Note: my ticket says in red " not valid for admission..." and I know I need to go to guest relations before entering day 1.

Yes 3 days. You can stop by Disney springs the day before and have them activated or go to guest relations at the park entrance

Does anyone know how much longer this ticket offer is available-- waiting to see if it;s better to book this with a room only offer (if one comes out for next summer) or a package deal?

Our daughter and her family booked a package thru Costco for the end of August yesterday and the tickets came up as CDN discounted ones. They actually got a crazy good deal, especially since it's charged and paid in cdn funds and it includes flights. Worth looking into this type of booking if trying to save money.

Yes it's still there! Planning a family reunion for summer next year. My family from SK and my siblings from ON. The savings are significant.

Our daughter was able to go into her reservation herself thru the Costco website and get the new room discount applied, saved $1,000 CND AND kept the discount on the tickets. They are thrilled because this gives them more wiggle room on food costs.

They have not had them since 2019.

My post was from 2 years ago when they had not yet brought back the Canadian Resident tickets.., they since have.

Does anyone know if these have to be activated with Canadian ID ahead of time like in years past? Mine are showing blue in MDE but not sure if that means anything.

Previously, Blue meant good-to-go and Yellow meant "activate ahead of time". That's likely still the case.

I have yellow ones, likely because I traded in Air Miles to get the Canadian Discounted tix, instead of buying directly from WDW. Last time I had these tix (Spring 2024), I had 1 blue (bought directly from WDW) and 1 yellow (traded in AM). So we had to go to Disney Springs anyway, but the cast member did do something with both tickets (yellow one and blue one).

What I'm trying to say is: Probably you're good, but maybe if you have time it's worth stopping in to Springs before lining up for a park.

We just got back this past weekend and were told at the guest relations at Magic Kingdom that is they are blue then you are good. 11 of us went and all of our tickets were blue and we all got the same answer from guest relations. So you should be good to just walk in on your first park day!
